GYC is the ideal place to learn to sail in London!

We are a Royal Yachting Association accredited Training centre and can help you go from complete beginner to racing one of our club dinghies, crewing on a member's cruiser down the Thames or sailing your own boat across oceans!


If you have never sailed before, we would suggest you take the Dinghy RYA Level 1 course and get involved with our dinghy fleet - but first you need to Join the Club.

For details of course dates and availability, or to discuss your training needs, contact the Training Manager.

  • Powerboat – RYA Level 1, Level 2 and Safety Boat
  • Keel boat
  • Trot Boat
  • Race Officer

  • RYA First Aid courses
