RYA the basics
The Club is a Royal Yachting Association recognised teaching establishment. We teach the basic dinghy and keel boat courses on the Thames, with our own qualified instructors, and have partnerships with training organisations that offer Power Boat, VHF, First Aid and Day Skipper courses.
Navigation classes run on our behalf by Nomad sailing.
The RYA Day Skipper course will start in September.- Tues evenings (1830-2130): Sept 14th, 21st, 28th. Oct 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th. First Aid class - Thames Active will run a First Aid course on 9th October in Greenwich Yacht Club landside building. (£50 for Members £80 non-members) Contact me to book.
The current suspended VHF course has been rescheduled and now confirmed for Sunday 4th July. 09:00 - 18:00. Landside building.

Powerboat Courses: run by Thamesactive. Contact me to obtain GYC discount.
Practical Sailing: The Dinghy L/1 will be run using a keelboat as it's size allows us to comply with Covid social distancing. The dinghy L/1 course syllabus can be covered on a keelboat. The first course will take place on 20th/21st May. Charge £205 pp non- member/ £185 pp member.
The next courses will take place on June 26th/27th. for Keelboat L/1 and L/2 (8 people.) Steve Wilson will instruct on one boat and we will hire in another instructor.
4 Single handed Lasers will be used for dinghy courses. Charge £160 for Members and £180 for non-members.
