A message from Steve Wilson - The re-scheduled VHF course, on the 17th January has been cancelled.
Realistically, its unlikely that we can reconvene a classroom based course until after the end of March. If you wish to hold on until then, fine. I’ll confirm a provisional date that we can all look forward to !
The other option, still available from our course providers, Thames Active, is to undertake the course online. The practical individual assessment would take place when conditions allow.
Please contact Steve to let him know your preference- stevevwilson@talk21.com
We will advertise scheduled courses when they become possible.
RYA the basics
The Club is a Royal Yachting Association recognised teaching establishment. We teach the basic dinghy and keel boat courses out on the Thames, with our own qualified instructors, and have partnerships with training organisations that offer Power Boat, VHF, First Aid and Day Skipper courses.
Navigation classes run on our behalf by Nomad sailing
VHF and First Aid classes run by the club
Powerboat classes: can be booked with Tony Mason at Thamesactive.
Practical Sailing: The practical sailing courses for dinghy and keel boats are run on the Thames, at present, but due to the covd 19 pandemc, we are not running any classess. We will announce when we restart them
