First
Aid Class-(Damage Limitation)
This one
day (eight hour) session focuses on life threatening injuries and illnesses, it
will explore the nature of the injury and the mechanism surrounding this, as
well as exploring the major causes of illness which are attributed to life
threatening conditions. The course is designed to be interactive with a friendly
and relaxed style. The course concentrates upon conditions and complaints which
are of a serious nature, rather than dealing with minor complaints which are
often dealt with by a commonsense approach. It also explores conditions
associated with water and how to deal with these conditions. The title ‘Damage
Limitation’ supports the notion of rendering aid and preventing a deterioration
of the patient. The course endeavours to equip the candidates with the
appropriate basic knowledge and skills required to recognise and deal with life
threatening conditions.
